Renew friendships and meet fellow Southern Cross enthusiasts on

Friday, Saturday and Sunday
February 7, 8 & 9
In Newport Rhode Island at

Newport Ramada Inn
936 West Main Road
Middletown, Rhode Island 02842
800-846-8322 or http://www.ramada.com

Make YOUR plans NOW by calling the number above

You must reserve your rooms by January 14, 2003 to secure the $69 rate (otherwise the rates will be $89 and subject to availability). Call the Ramada and mention the Southern Cross Owner's Association today. A block of rooms has been reserved for SCOA at this rate.

Please notify Commodore Bill Duggan at WJ_Duggan@hotmail.com or (978-369-2129) if you plan to attend or if you have questions, suggestions for topics, or if you wish to make a presentation. We are especially interested in hearing from members about:

  • Recent voyages and lessons learned
  • Maintenance and equipment: new ideas, experience with gear and rigging
  • Issues and questions from new Southern Cross owners

The Annual meeting in Newport is the next best thing to sailing your boat in February. Renew old acquaintances, make new ones, swap yarns about boats and gear, find out who has gone cruising and where, and ask other owners to help solve problems.

Registration for the meeting will be $25 per person in advance--$30 per person at the door. The registration fee includes a buffet lunch and snacks on Saturday. Cost of the Saturday evening dinner will be $30 per person (which includes tax and gratuity).
